Anyone think an Alpine 7909 is worth $300 at this time?

Or am I better off with just getting a 7998 and hooking up my Kenwood 6042A equalizer to it? Or another "cheaper" deck with the eq?

Alpine CDA-9887 looks pretty decent to me.. and it can be had for around 300...
