i've been asking around, and everyone keeps telling me that eclipse do not skip. may need to try that.
one of our team mates pulled a skip happy pioneer 6900 out of his truck and put a mid line eclipse in and all skipping went away.

also, i have not seen many skip issues with jvc aswell.

give me some opinions and suggestions.

In the expedition i did with the 4-06s12L7's we used an Eclipse CD3000. The cd never skipped, but the track would actually start over occasionally during a heavy beat.

ya Ive never had any issues with my eclipse either granted Im not as loud as you Gene but you can see the face on my navi unit moving along with the dash

sodda pop kid says that his eclipse never skipped. even when he wrecked the car it never missed a beat, lol. thats what got me sold on the eclipse idea.

deck goes up to 80, that a lot of control for bassrace. but a long way to roll up for low impedance burps.
how many volt outputs does the model you're looking at go to? 5v?8v?

3100 is 5v. it is the lowest model that has ipod control.
