I have an alpine cda9856 now. I really like the flip out screen of the D310.

My question is: never having had a screen or anything, is it worth all the extra money? Is it overhyped and glamorized? I think it would be cool to have, but just wonder if I will get bored with it and get over the coolness and be mad I dropped alot of cash.

Any help??

I have an IVA-D300... I really liked it in my "show car" because it got me extra points at some shows.. but now that I'm getting out of show cars, and probably the dB scene, I might have it up for sale, let me know if you'd be interested. But it has never posed any problems for me what so ever, and it's nice for longer trips, where my passengers can watch a movie and such

What about an IVA-W205? They are cheaper, but serve same function.

What's the main difference and makes either one better???

The 205 is double-din, and is 6.5" whereas the 300 and 301 are 7". The 300 and 310 have a higher sub-out voltage.. and there must be more differences as the 300 and 310 have a "brain box" whereas the 205 does not..
