What exactly is the deal here? Is the Premeir line of better quality or what? I was looking at the headunits and was curious if there were any differences.

Premier is a nice unit overall. better quailty than most of the pioneer line up. you pay a little more, get a lil more flash etc..... but if i was gonna buy a Pile-O-Gear it would definatly be a Premier

Premier is their elite line. Many products are not available in the "regular" line, only the premier line.
I think you get a two year warranty standard with the premier line also. Some equipment is the same between lines.

Watch out for the older premeirs, they get HOT. I've got a DEH-46, and its a damn fine head, she's just gets awfully warm and washes out like mad in the sun.
