I think some people switch over to AUX then to CD. Kinda like a pause. Doesn't TeamSubGoPoof use Eclipse?
I have the CD5000 and LOVE it. Took me awhile to get it tweaked good, but sounds awesome.

im thinking im going to get it. i here a lot of good stuff about the eclipse head units. supposedly they stand up better in the SPL scenario than pioneer. not to mention the high volt preouts and the fact that its eclipse. ill figure it out on the pause situation. hell ill be doing like bass race or something anyway not a class competition car. so the pause isnt that big of a deal for me.

For Bass Race I think the pause button would come into play even more.

i had an eclipse hu for bass race, it sucked not having a pause button....i had to use the mute button on the remote....im much happier having a pause button with the alpine i have now.....since you cant use solid tones in bass race you usually end up using certain sections of songs - without a pause button its really tough to hit those sections at the right time

One gripe I have is the knob to select songs. It's very touchy. Sometimes when the bass hits it must vibrate the knob, because it starts the song over. Doesn't happen all the time, but it happens.
