I am going to. My Alpine 9813 that has been with me since 2004 has finally died. [Frown] After finals this last year I made a rookie mistake when I was trying to get my DB Jams disk out of the cd player and shorted out the power supply on it [Frown] . Yeah I'm a dumbass for that one. Anyway I just picked up a Clarion DXZ-755MC the 2005 Clarion with music catcher and 20 second skip protection. I made this choice because it has 20 second skip protection and I know the remotes on Clarions are VERY strong. They can cut through tint and work from the back of the largest SUV's. My question is has anyone had good luck with the 20 second shock proof memory for skipping? I have my Alpine changer, but I'm trying to get away from the changer because it can still skip from time to time. If anyone's tried it or used it or uses it hook a brother up with some info. [Big Grin] Otherwise I'll let u all know how it works out. But I know they don't have the infamous Mute-Roll, but that's not overly important anyway.

I have a Clarion DXZ-745MP(like yours except without the music catcher and skip buffer) and it never skipped a beat in two of my vehicles. Largely depends on how you mount it to the dash though, too secure = your headunit bounces with the dash and bass, too loose = skip when on uneven roads.
