Do you guys think i should get this deck? Which do you think is better, the Eclipse 8445 or the Clarion DXZ955MC. I know the Clarion is like 120 dollars more than the Eclipse, but if the Clarion is that much better than i might get it. Please let me know if i should go with the Eclipse or the Clarion. Or if there is a unit out there you think is better.

i'd say definately, i have the 8445 in my spl truck...the built in time alignment, built in 12 band eq, and not only the eq but you get to boost seperate frequencies of the eq! its an awesome deck

well i got the deck in, the only problem is im getting a high pitch noise, seems like engine noise, and the guys at Car Toys who installed it said there isnt really much to do to fix the noise except get like a noise cancel thing, but that will take some power away from the deck. and that will defeat one of the main reasons for buying the deck [Frown]

Try Grounding the HU better, Just take a peice of wire from the frame of the car and atach it to the support bracket bolt on tha back of the headunit. if that dosen't get it run your self a straight (fused) constant power wire from the battery to the headunit (yellow wire)

TeamSubGoPoof..........

I just bought a 8445 and my eq is only 7 bands and i don't think you can boost each frequency other than just bumping up the eq itself.
Question:
Is there any way to get the "dancing" lights for each eq level?

thanks.

Was it confirmed if this unit has a pause feature or not?

Either with the remote or unit itself?
