my pioneer p8000r deck overheats because its located right next to my heater vents in my aerostar, and so it gets extremely hot because of this and goes into protection mode for a bit. it takes about an hour of playin with the heater on before it goes into protection. if i dont have the heater on, it plays all day and night with no problem. but i live in fairbanks alaska, and its 20 below zero right now.. and its a hard choice sometimes to decide if i want heat or tunes... so what should i do? maybe an external fan blowing on my deck from behind the dash? there is plenty of room, but would this add any interfeirence to my sound. rca's or general cd player? i can put a little insulation between the cd player and the heater vents, but i dont think that will be enough, cause it gets really hot everywhere from that heater.... any ideas anybody?? thanks alot

Hey, i own a 2000 Dodge Dakota Sport and it has 2 heater outputs right over the unit. Recently ive noticed that my Cd player skips and i think its from the Heat. The Cd's i have and play are all like new. Im not sure what would work in your situation, im trying to figure out that my self.
