I have a problem. My head unit (JVC LX3) accidentally got the left rear speaker wires hooked up to an amp signal while the amp was on. This gave a nasty back voltage to it and now I have no left channel, front or rear. I have a feeling that since both channels are dead, that the left power supplied is fried. Does anyone know how much it would be to have it fixed, or if its a simple solder job, how to fix it? By the way, I don't think the CD player is under warranty anymore.

It would probably be cheaper just to get a new HU.

but yeah definitely more cost effective to get a new deck... sounds like you fried your left audio finals... it's almost never worth swapping out finals.
