When i play the radio i can hear a pretty strong hissing noise when i have my amp on. I have a toggle switch hooked up to the amp so i can turn it off if i need to, and when i turn it off, the hissing noise goes away

Antenna is either not plugged in fully or is improperly grounded somewhere, check your ant wire at the HU and at the actual ant.
