I would like to see street A be 2 8s or 1 10" and limit of 2000rms and then the current street A become street B
Street B now could be street C but allow for 2 batteries and street C now would become street D

I realise policing the 2000rms rule would be hard but Im sure a list of say 10 amplifiers could be listed to choose from and limit everyone to one of these 10 amps ?

yo ucant tell competitors what equipment they can and can not buy.

how many manufacturers are out there? limiting to one of only 10 amps would be ludicrous.

the day an orginization tells me what i can't buy.. is the day i leave that orginization.

on the other hand... meca hasa very simple wya of policing.... you bring your amp spec sheet or manual with you, as proof of what the power rating is.

OK so 100 amps to choose from
I just meant they need to be listed as possible choices.
But yes having a specs sheet will help
What other way can you limit the power used for a class ?

Look at all the top runners in street class now all the amps used are generally the same , its only going to be the amps that are close to the limit they will need to be listed.

As everyone will say... its just another class, that makes the event promoter buy more trophies. The only thing worth doing is making a Mini Street Class. Let each store make its own mini street Class. The way the rules are now, are great, we dont need to be changing rules every year to accomadate those who are not up in the top of things. I'll admit im not in the top 15 in Street A, $hit i dont even know where i am, but its not making me want to give up and not do dB Drag anymore. Im addicted to it, and i'll do what it takes to make my car louder, and better. If that includes stepping up with the big boys and buying a CRX, then thats what i got to do. I'm willing to work with the rules, not make dB Drag re-work its rules for me or any competitor. If your serious about Drag then you will do what you need to do to get the job done and be the loudest in your class!

I say combine ALL of the extreme classes and make more street classes. [Wink]

i say open up the whole street amp limit. at least in the current street classes. some people are complaining that the amps are too big. i say if a competitor can figure out how to run a huge amp on one battery. then all the power to him. amp if the amps are too expensive for some competitors. well tough. you pay to play. no one ever said this sport was cheap.

I think a class below street A is an awesome idea, but the power would be more efffectively limiter by limiting the size of the battery is these classes to 500 or 600 cu. in. This would prevent people from using massive CCA batteries and force them to use "normal" size batteries.

I think the extra street idea is great, USACI is thriving because of all the stock classes, and lets be honest, extreme is bare with most classes not being able to even fill the finals brackets, and not to mention the fact that the woofer quanity doesn't really seem to effect much wiht those classes, I'd say Extreme 1-2 and 3+, then make another street class. My 2 cents, which have the lowest number of classes in the highest populated area ?????, I just don't see the logic. P.S. NW could probably be done away with also.

Ditch NW and where do we play?

3dB behind SS1-2 and other organisations run a NW class??
