Nathan, no offense, when you qualified and went to Finals every show you attended (minus 1) was within one hour.
Sorry dude, some people have to do much more driving than others.

Try living in NY, the closest show was 4 hours away. There also wasn't a single DB Drag in the state of NY.

also how about only being to compete in 1 event a day, i`ve noticed a few cars have done this and a couple have even done 3 events in 2days. 2 x2 and a x3
that is wrong and needs to be stopped

well i guess you also didnt realize that year,
i compeated in 5 different organizations, idbl , db drag racing, nspl, slapshow, meca, and i qualified for all 5 finals but was out of money for the meca finals. and many trips to nc for nspl events. but to say i have never traveled to shows you dont know how far i have traveled.

unfortunely most of the shows i went to was idbl shows. and so alot of that info is lost due to the problem they had.

one weekend i went to ashville nc , and the next day i was in deptford nj.

in 2000 hoping to get to the finals i drove to olsen's audio in michigan to a 2x event there. missed out on finals by 1 point. and there were 2 shows i went to that were cancelled due to faughtly equipment. not to mention the iasca world finals in okc, ok that year.

in 2001 i had my car at sbn ... but due to the lanes being off by 2 db and no possibity of retries i didnt qualify so it does not show that i went even though i was there.... but i took 2nd place for my class for idbl.

many of times since i had my points for my class for finals so i would travel with terry, to many shows to help him stay awake.

what i have suggested is 16 shows as a example 25% needed to qualify for finals, so 4 major shows to go to finals?? in actully thats less then the current requirement. just limit the amount being held.

btw, if i dont have to travel to qualify for finals why should i? what is the incentive. there is no more cash prizes at 3x events like there use to be.

this is my whole point make a incentive to go to the shows.

What ever happened to that idea?

How can you have lane choices when you are in different country's ?

This is not the old mics we are dealing with.

i can only imagine that those with scores at sea level and in a coldest climate will have thier equipment running at thier prime. i wonder if a competitor in vancouver bc(sea level and hot humid) will do as well as a competitor in kamloops(hot 1100 ft and dry). surely the mics would read accurate, but would the systems perform differntly due to weather and air conditions. i think so.

At NSPL finals my car went down .4 due to an air conditioned building.
On a nice hot sunny day, I can do consistent 55.4's [Wink]
