It's perfectly fine. We had 12 strands of 1/0 under the street max van last year.

so power wire is excluded from this rule?

Wouldn't a bunch of one inch holes be considered a modification?
3-8a Modifications to the passenger compartment are prohibited.
Just curious.

Well you have to drill holes thru the firewall to run wires thru, isn't that a modification? At some point we have to just allow things because they are needed for the sound system to operate properly...

You have to run the power wire underneath the vehicle to make the sound system operate correctly then I guess NONE of my sounds systems have EVER operated correctly...
Now I can see it makes it easier on the install but to just say its neccessary for the sound system to operate correctly is complete B.S.!!!
I say all power wire should be ran like you would if a customer came into a shop and wanted an amp kit installed(the right way and safe way to drive down the road).

So be it then!!! I have had to make many changes in just the few years I have been in this sport so I dont feel sorry for anyone that took the easy way out in the past and has to spend a little bit of time and has to work a little bit...
I still lets make street cars resemble street cars!!! And function as street cars EVEN if they are not driven like we all know most are not.

Well down here and everywhere I know runs even a single strand of 0 gauge under the car. Nobody wants to see some huge bulge in their carpet all the way back to the rear area.

Well Carlton that doesnt seem very safe at all running huge power wire underneath the car where anything and everything could hit it and lead to a nice problem later down the road. I know that I personally would NEVER do that on any car I own or any car I am doing the installation on. The whole point is power wire is intended to be ran inside the car so lets keep things the way they are suppose to be or lets just let everything go and have a class thats called Street but looks like extreme!!!
