First i must concede that 2" width for "bolt strips" put me make some rebuilding job.
But i want to tell what kind of idea came my mind. My idea is if you don't see this bigger width of "bolt strip" is impossible idea then we can use this ordinary mic jig for checking this width of "bolt strip".
It is really easy way to use.
Here is few pics how you can use it.

I updated those pics. Now you can see that 3.5" what is between pillar and hole of mic jig. Of course current 2" width should be change to 3.5" if we want use this easy way to checkking.

What part you don't understand ? My suggestion was change to current 2" limit to 3.5". If 3.5" is used then we can use mic jig to determine is bolts strip legal or not.

So you want to change the rule to 3.5" cuz it's easier? I'm pretty sure that everyone knows what 2" is, if there is a question I'm sure that any judge will have a tape measure to check compliance.

Maybe we should ask what problem we will get if we use 3.5" instead 2" ? And would it be nice if judges need to carrying only 30"rod and normal mic jig when they are inspecting extreme cars

So why not make the bolt strip the width of the long end of the mic jig, its an inch or an inch and a half?

I'm not sure if Aquaman would take kindly to be called a "boy". Although, come to think of it, I think he was from the northside of Atlantis, so maybe your refering to some other person with gills?
