Those that think 4 monster amps (such as 4 RF or 4 Zapco's ) willnot work off ONE battery is FOOLISH and CONFUSED.
Same goes for 8 amps of 2 batteries.
We have seen that 4 Crowns run off 2 batteries.

You are retarded if you think 4 crowns run well off of one battery... all you do when you run 4 crowns is peak out 2 batteries. Since all of you have seen how difficult it is to run 4 crowns off of 2 batteries you would know this. I think you are all crazy to think it will be cheaper for you to have one amp one = one heatsink and then limit amps. Wayne's idea is a good one it allows for not just strappable amps, but if you have crowns or big monster amps already you can still use them. Sorry Kevin, but the 9.0's day is over! Unless Zapco releases a strappable 9.0 that amp will be done. This is the best thing that could happen to Street class... just think there will be no more bitching about how the Europeans have more power than we do.... we will all be able to peak out our Optima's. Street will be about who can make the most out of their battery power with efficient amps, subs, boxes, and vehicles. Kevin you should be happy your explorer plays right into this... now you can buy 8 amps that cost half of what the Zapco's do and probally get louder! I for one feel we need the ability to run strappable amps.... Wayne is right. I had to think about it for a while too, but Wayne is right on this one. This will level the playing field for everyone. I can now get almost 2x the power for less than my 2 9.0's cost me... The only reson I bought 9.0's is because there is no amp as reliable and as strong in Street... there are several amps within a couple tenths... but nothing has really beat the 9.0 that I have seen. I know much much more than you think playa, get real. No one ever said you could run 4 crowns off 1 Optima. No where did I ever say the 9.0 was going to win this year or even be in my car Your ASS Uming these things I'm also not the one getting lit up in my class by the Europeans or complaing that they have more power, thats you kid. I know exactly what 2 Optimas can do and can't do, remember I'm the one that runs the big class in USACI and has had 8 amps in my ride, I didn't know you ever did So until you actually do these tests you should keep your thoughts about me to yourself and quit telling me what you think you know

P.S. I like Waynes idea, I already changed my mind and said I think we should leave it in his hands. The only thing I don't see is if we are going to allowed strapable amps why not just get rid of the conductor rule and just go totally unlimted, only seems right, get rid of A its worthless anyway now as long as we have battery to limit power. A and B will be very very close.

As I recall you got beat by a european at Drag finals.
I've seen the limits of 2 optima's remember what was in J Webs car at USACi finals. We've done the tests. That's why I see it Wayne's way.

I may have gotten beat by a European with some equipment gone bad but i think I made up for it at USACI Your still getting beat by all them, whats your excuse

i like the allowed strapped amp idea better but counting the amps is also ok. i think counting the amps will be more expensive tho, atleast here in Canada where one xfire 4000d costs $3500 and T3000 costs about the same.....Crown is way out there with a $6000 price tag hahaha
also now we can match power with the euro guys

Why can't we get definitions and clarifications??? I remember a fiasco that started like this from last year....Gene A's post on what was a legal amp, he got no response for 2 months then bam at finals his post was answered "the hard way".
Some definitions and clarifications would truly help and is in the best interest of all involved.

Kal, you're now the proud owner of a pair of paper weights I'm gunna be using my D2 as a door stopper.
Mmmm, so cheap.. get stuck with a D3 that cost you $1300 and now no one will want, and have to buy a pair of strappable 3Kw monoblocks for $1500 each.. $4,300 (Australian) out of pocket to remain competitive if this amp rule changes.
Oh well.. we're running Crown 6000 in StreetMAX this year so the change doesnt matter to me, I'm just thinking of my buddies in Street classes.
