i saw a guy with a prefab box and 2 audiobahn 10s beat a street max 3-4 world finalest, its great gives the new kids something to be proud of....and is very fun for the street beaters that can daily their stuff not people that can just burp and hold it

i love it. bass race was more fun than the standard format, and drew larger crowds, at sams shows last summer.
not to mention, it makes the cash i dumped on an alternator a more worthwhile investment since cars can run in the lane

Besides - Posting some rules and classes for this "Bass Race" isn't going to hurt anyone. It's the shop who hosts a dB Drag who gets to say if they want to do a Bass Race or not. If Wayne makes some classes and rules and stuff, it just gives the host one more option to throw into the show.

Funny how this is the exact same ideas that www.SPLENDURO.com is and has been for a few years now. Fully up and running as of last year it was a decent hit on a local level. People found it interesting and fun. Gave them something to look forward to.
you still use a test tone 70hz or lower. bass race uses MUSIC.
they are still classing people by equipment. bass race classes people by 10db increments.
also, in the final rules, wayne has included bass race, and said he would have the rules up any day now. so, looks like its a go.

prepare to see orion h2's and re xxx's conquer in these classes
shane it goes by consistency and your classed in 10 db increments, so my 12 10s in my truck could be classed with a guy with 1 10 in theory...there shouldn't be any particular brands winning these classes

I really like the sound of this classes. I never seen this format run in person but the idea sounds cool. I would like try this class instead of street A which I know I would get my @$$ handed to me with my set up. is bassrace going to be up to the show owner or is it going to be at every DB drag show? also whats the ruling on this class in terms of "streetable" mods?
