All I know if it wasnt for DB Warrior I would still be wasteing alot of time and money trying to find out why my car wasnt loud. I was a very simple fix but very easy to over look. I am glad that people like DB Warrior and Team Loud are in this sport. I havent found anyone around here that was willing to help. Well Alot of people helped but no one that new about Extreme cars if they did they wouldnt help. Steve Cook would have been in the sme boat if thet wouldnt have helped him. They know there $hit when it comes to how sound works and how to mke it work. Thanks again I hope to become part of TEAM LOUD soon. Just waitting on the word.

Little clarification. This about 3" is required in B-pilar line area, not in roof or floor.
Only becose of curving door opening with buildins...

And for the Johnny....
Yes, this would benefit us. It's not very big thing. Actually very small, only 1" [Smile]
Would this help all of the extreme competitor, no. Would it help if everyone would like to really seal their doors, yes...
There's once again very small thing that can cause big differencies in the end.
How is your extremevehicle Johnny? oh, you didn't have one. Well why don't you then stay out of the business that has got nothing to do with you.
We are trying to get reasonable rules, for us and for all of the competitors. It's very sad to allways get some stupid negative comment from someone whom doesn't have anything creative to put into this manner! [Frown]

I have few photos to show that we have problem with only 2". Reason is that when doorwindow is 4" thick and you have to build your structure so door can actually close and open. Window is now build as big as possible to fit rules. And when you close the door it allmost hits orginal B-pilar. So mainproblem is that with 2" strip to seal the door in B-pilar line we have only about 3/8 inch to surface for sealant. And it's even worst in area where B-pilar makes curve [Frown]

Considering that window area actually makes it impossible to build little over 3" b-pilar line strip and since when we have hinged doors that make curve when opening we suggest that "tab" or "strip" should be 3" in B-pilar line so it would make possible to make deasent sealantsurface.

We know that 3" looks and feels lot but it's not when you have 4" window. Situation would be even worst if we would have 6" door build in. It really curves so much!

 -

here you can see that windowsframe corner allmost touches orginal B-pilar when door is closed. there's like 1/64 inch in between..
 -

here you can see that 2" (about 5cm) is like half way there. That b-pilar lip, strip, whatever is made of L-steel about 2"x3,5"
 -

here you can see the window that is just about big enough to fit window area rule.. and in inside the lip/strip isn't even in the line with window, it's further back...

 -

We'd really hope that Wayne, Steve and other judges would think this occasion to make it really fair to all of us.

Extreme competitor, check yours... you might remember it too positively....

I agree. 2" sounds a bit too less when you are using thick sidewindows. As you are alowed to use 4" thick windows why permit those by another rule?

I wouldnt have a problem with 3" along the B-pillar as long as it was removeable for the string test, and we are allowed a 3" roof build down anyway

Actually, it does concern me, just because I don't personally own an extreme vehicle doesn't mean that it doesn't concern me. I have other reasons.

Is that kind of "bolt strips" legal what is presented in that drawing ?
Size is 2" x 2"

2 Things.

I would sat that the 13" must be from the door build out not the tabs/strips.

Also it appears that you have 9 bolts not 6 as mentioned in the rules.

4-2? Maybe I'm lost here...

Is the question at hand how thick the tab can be? Like a 2" by 2" square tube of steel? Or like a 2" by 4" square tube of steel? I believe it needs to stay 2" in thickness and still have legal measurements inside the cab when this tab is bolted in...Like the distance between the door/door tab to the middle console.

Yes.

But you do raise a good question. Does the tab or strip have to be included in the door to console measurements?
