OK, I just finished first ever ported box for two JL 12w3d4's and put them on one of my Punch 200.2's to see how the box hit. So I figured I wouldn't crank it up at the house, so my friend and I decided to ride around. It was about 9:00 at night. We're cruising for a while, and on the way home I burp it a the note i think it hits good. At exactly the same time a Police car is passing in opposing traffic. Uhhh ohhh. He takes a U-turn, and turns his lights on. Well I decide to turn into a donut shop where some dudes are outside playing Chinese chess. Our windows are down, and I'm thinking to myself, what's that smell? I smell weed. The policeman comes to my car and asks, "testing out your box?" I explain to him that I have a loose connection in a patch cord and for some reason the signal gets messed up, hence the burping sound he heard. Ya right.... He warns me, tells me to have a good night and walks off, then my friend says it," I smell weed" The cop walks to the guys that were over there and talks to them. We passed by later on and smelled the same thing after the cop left. So I guess he didn't catch them. But it sure did get me out of a ticket.

maybe it isn't so funny after all,

Wow good job of getting out of that one! I was jammin one day at night on a so so busy street, about 20 ft away from houses, and all of a sudden, I notice a cop right next to me. I was like doh! I turned it down, and he was like is that you with all the noise, or is it the people in front of you? Being the honest guy I am I said it was me, and he was like thank you for being honest, if you would have lied I was going to give you a ticket. I was soooo glad I was brought up right he he. Some times telling the truth does work

Honesty will always prevail. I have walked away from court victoriously over a noise ordinance violation citation. One thing to keep in mind (I used these to my defense), 1>Low frequencies are non directional, how did the officer detect where the sound was coming from? 2>to what level of decibles was being produced from your radio, your ears can not detect the amount (db) of a sound 3>the word "LOUD" is a matter of oppinion, what I consider loud could be considers moderate amplification of sound by another person. Good Luck and God Bless.
