Well as the topic says it could only happen to me. At the local db drag today I had qualified first in my class and the nearest competitor was about 7 db below me. I got a bye to the final round and when I pulled up the other competitor started moaning bout how he could ever beat my car with his set up. So I pull my seats out like normal reach in and grab my Sony wired remote for the radio and shut the driver's door, wait for the mic to be placed and shut that door and cue that I am ready. On the command to go I keyed the remote and low and behold nothing happened. I tried for the first 15 seconds or so to get it to work and then just gave up. After time was up and I opened the driver door I noticed that the door had cut into the remote wire and shorted out the remote. So I ended up taking second place with a whopping 103 db.

Craig.....podium in the works

I thought in DB Drag that you could have another run if a malfunction happened, and you fixed it, I know it has happened at many events I have attended, sorry to hear about that though, oh unless it was IDBL, which is a run once and lose if theres trouble policy.

The Kenwood officials offered a rerun provided the other competitor was willing to do it and possibly lose his first place. He wasn't willing to possibly give up first so there was no rerun.

He sounds like a real bad person to me if he thinks he is so bad.

Man, I hate that happened. I just recently had a podium made and the other day at the NSPL show I turned it on and it cut out on me at 144db(linear-x meter) so I had to do it from the inside. I still don't know what happened, so I'm going to mess with it today.
