This is supposedly a true story told to me by Richard Clark and Dave Navone. Richard hires a new secretary to assist around the office. He tells her to send Dave some information on one of the products he is testing. She says, "How?" He tells her to use the fax machine.
Later that day, Dave calls Richard and asks, "What the hell are you doing over there? You've sent me the same fax 150 times!"
Richard asks the new secretary why she sent Dave 150 faxes. She says, "Everytime I put the papers in the fax machine, they simply come out the other side."
She literally thought the fax machine was supposed to physically send the papers to Dave!
Richard swears this is a true story.

heheh... that's funny.. it reminds me of the time i heard that someone had to have a repairman come in to look at his computer, the complaint was he couldn't load floppy disks into it. the repair guy pulled 5 disks out of the drive -- apparently the operator of the computer was installing some software on it, and when prompted to put in the next disk, simply put the new disk in behind the old disk... hmm, takes brains, eh

in maxim, they told how to send the neverending fax....just tape the pieces of paper together to make a loop, write your words of choice on it, and it will just keep shooting paper out of whomever's fax you send it to....

I tried the maxim deal and it worked wonders untill my father and law drove over to our store and took it out.. only after he unplugged his fax though.

CallerID is there yes (if they have a caller id box hooked up to it and pay for caller id service), but besides that, all they gotta do is use *69 to get the # of the last caller (if you don't block the #). hehe
We did the neverending fax on someone the other day as well, but they just unplugged their fax pretty quickly.
