Well since Anthony Lloyd brought it up in the General part of the forum, guess i'll post about it in here. Sunday I had a show in Niles Illinois, about an hour away from my home. I had just wired my system to 2ohm mono. I was then showing what the Shocker 2's can do to ddmmats, and after all was said and done, I told him to lock my door and shut it....I did the same. What I didnt realize was that my keys had fallen out of my pocket, and onto the front seat. I WAS LOCKED OUT OF MY CAR! I was about 2 seconds away from just punching out my window...but I was like hey I came here with a buddy..so we drove an hour each way, and made it back with the extra set of keys, before qualifying ever started! What a dumb move huh!

Speaking of tolls. Ever wonder when the toll roads in Chicago will be paid off? I am 33 and I can remember being a little kid going through the toll roads there. By the time its paid for, they will have to re-do it again...lol

Just don't lock the dang car! I have locked my car ONCE at a show, and that was only because several of us walked quite a distance away from it to get drinks and whatnot. I usually leave the windows down, and/or a door wide open so people can see in. I guess in my area we are more trusting, and rarely have anything of value disappear while we're fairly nearby. (of course, not leaving anything in the vehicle of value that doesn't require some major effort to remove is important as well). heh
Keys, know where they are at all times, or keep a spare in your wallet or around your neck or something. I just carry a lock pick with me in case fools like you lock themselves out of their cars. I can make a quick $50 by opening it up. hahah j/k

keyless entry with the little keypad on the doors, or keyless entry via remote? If via remote, it won't do you much good if you lock the keys and remote in the car. heheh
One of my cars has the little keypad on the doors, so that is kinda handy in case of locking yourself out.

yeah, these systems can come in handy if you have a tendency to lock things in the car.
I have only locked my own keys in my own car like 2 times in 15 years, but I have locked a customers keys in their cars at least 3 times in my life while working on them. The last one was my buddies 4x4 Ford truck, and I was testing the doorlock wires for his alarm, and had the keys sitting on the floorboard, and didn't realize the last time I tested was in LOCK mode, and then I happened to step back from the door and it swung itself shut and latched. Locked out, in the middle of a job. That sucks ass. I had to slim jim it to get back to work. heh

I locked my keys in my car on average of at LEAST 3 times a month. I just can't help it. The worst was when I just got home after work, and the first thing I did was decide to make some adjustments to my amp. So the car is running, and the subs are just pounding away, and I close my trunk. I go to open my door, and it's locked (damn gremlins). I go up to the house, and the doors locked. My Cars running and I'm locked out of my house and I live down a dirt road in the middle of nowhere. So I sit for the next hours and half waiting for someone to come home and open the house so I can get my spare key and open my car. Duhhh...

We always take an extra set of keys to both of our vehicles to the show (the comp. truck and the blazer we tow with). After seeing the little episode at the 3-Pointer in Ohio, I am very very glad we have spares!
