I am sure most of you have had a complaint or two from neighbors or the cops while working on your systems. But has the cops ever asked to hear it before he told you to stop. When we were building the Yugo the morning before we left for its first show we were testing it out in Paul garage. Well the neighbors called the cops and the cops showed up asked if we were testing an engine or a race car or some thing. Of course we said no it was a stereo. The 2 cops had a puzzeled look on their face so we took them back to the garage and showed them the car. Well alomst at the same time they asked to hear it. Well after making sure we wernt going to get in any more trouble we let them hear it. All they said is Damn thats loud and walked off.

Tim Zelade and I were in his Tracker in St. Louis, by the federal building down town. We were both trashed and we were just heading back to the hotel. If any of you have seen the his Tracker, you probably noticed the shiny ground metal in it. Well as we drove by the federal building, there was a cop on foot in front of it. He used his flashlight to flag us down. We stopped and he said, "I saw the shiny metal and just wanted to see what it was." He looked in and saw all of the 10"s in the wall. He then asked if we would turn it on for him. So, we are sitting here thinking...OK we are drunk as hell, and this cop wants to hear this vehicle turned up. We told the cop where the volume was so we didnt have to sit in it. He turned it on and it knocked his cap off in his lap. He didnt utter two words after that.......LMAO!! I cant believe he wanted to hear it in downtown St. Louis!! hehehe Oh well, that is my story and I am sticking to it!!! lol

Similar story here, I got arrested for the noise oridnance in Myrtle Beach, S.c. (strict town) and the cop started askin me about systems on the way to the station. I did make it to the show the next morning and got second, so I didnt feel too bad....funy thing though, my bail was $80 bucks and I had the option to stay the night....my hotel room was more expensive than that!!!..something to consider next year?...lol
Anyone else here remember when the **** 's shows at Myrtle Beach were any good? Steve might remember these......

Alrile... not to bust your chops, but the way this reads you guys were D.U.I. I'm sure you don't need me to lecture you, but after the amount of posts about people losing friends and loved ones to drinking and driving I'm a bit suprised. I'd hate to read another post that we lost you or anyone else on this forum...
Did I misunderstand?
Cheers!

You are correct. It was one of those once in a lifetime thing. Didnt know it until we were in the middle of it. But no, I dont need the lectures. I know it is not right, I hardly ever drink, so like I said it was a once in a lifetime thing.

My buddy had a story like that. He's got a '79 vette that's all customized. Anyway, it's a beautiful car. He was driving around town and went through a yellow light, right as it turned yellow. The cop stopped him, briefly mentioned that he needs to watch those lights and then started asking about the car . . . how much horsepower, motor, trans, who did the work, yada yada yada. It's kinda bull**** that he got pulled over, but at least he didn't get a ticket or anything like that.

I think that happends ALOT. A cop see something he wantes to see so you pulls you over. Kidna sucks. But kinda makes me laugh. I take it as a complement.

When I had my first car, a 94 integra the year that the current design came out in the end of 93, I got pulled over for speeding and the cop stood there for 15 minutes after giving me the ticket asking me the price, drive, handling ect... I felt like letting him take it for a test drive!
