I am gonna try to blow a sub by connecting a wall plug to it and plugging it in butI heard someone say if you stand on it , it is quite a ride , I was wondering how to do this ? wont i get shocked by cutting off a live set of wires and touching them to the terminals ?

Me and some friends of mine one night got an old sub and tore it apart. Took it down to two peices the magnet and voice coil. Once it was apart we took the voice coil and hooked up some leads to a wall outlet and on the wall outlet was one of those X-10 remotes. We then put two large college books on top of the coil that was put into the gap in the magnet and steped back. We tured the remote on and POOF!!! The books WENT flying! Then we put the books on the magent and had someone stand on it and it knocked him off the magnet! Then we just took the voice coil and started shooting it at one another! Lasted for about an hour until the voice coil broke! The most fun I had with an old legacy sub!
