So I am down at this audio store in Indiana, name disclosed, and I pay these guys 350 to mount my amps and batteries and put in my new alternator. I was there while they were working and the guy putting in the alt seemed real shady. Long story short, there are now 3 holes in my gas tank from the amp rack, and a cracked cover on my alt as well as a new belt because the old one was rubbing against the timing chain and almost ruined that. $800 worth of repairs for $350 worth of work. Now the owner of the shop should be paying for this because its a reputable business, but I'm pissed off.

Are they going to take care of you? Any reputable shop has to carry liability insurance and any damage to the vehicle caused by the installation should be covered.
Any decent shop will have a checkout list for when the vehicle is brought into the bay, and brought out of the bay.
If the damage wasn't noted before they started, and it's clearly from the installation...they get it taken care of.

yea, the alt wasnt put in right, and the holes in the tank were from the screws of the amp rack.

You need to tell us what the name of the shop is so that way it does not happen to someone else.
