Tuesday, out of the blue a storm hits. Within a few minutes it goes from bright and sunny to dark and getting ready to pour. All of a sudden you cant see across the street from how bad it was raining. Then you hear glass break (thought it was the kitchen window cause of high winds and pouring rain all of a sudden) and the alarm went off. Well it usually does with real bad weather/thunder storms. Look out the back window and see my back yard just became a tropical getaway. Van is totalled house has damaged and cant do anything untill her insurance company comes out. Basicly tree was rotten inside and due to high winds decided it was giving. It decided to hit the house and crush the fence, van and I havent looked at the trailer yet. Only good thing is I almost parked the new suburban next to the van 30 minutes before.
Oh and heres a kicker............I had Brand New DD subs in there....a guy wasset to buy it with everything in it if my friend backed out. He was handing me money on Friday. Nationwide side that if it was an act of nature/god they will not cover it. It is here homeowners insurance and her tree on the other side of here yard that hit the house and van. What bull crap. Pay for homeowners so they can just say no we are not paying for the damages.

Was it your Neighbor's tree then that fell and hit your house/van? I just had a limb fall of my neightbor's tree and it hit my car(in my driveway). The tree had been dead for over a year, but his homeowners said that it wouldn't cover it and I don't carry comprehensive on that car so my insurance won't cover it. They told me that if I had called and told the neighbor to take the tree down that I would have a case for negligence against him, but since I didn't that he wasn't really liable legally. That's some messed up laws we have eh.

Yeah basicly same thing. I just added comp to all vehicles when I switched to Gieco. They ended up paying out. I had to fix my house.
I filed with the state insurance board. You should check into it also.
I was told basicly the same thing. If she knew it was a bad tree then they might pay out. I dont care. Homeowners insurance is basicly a joke. Everyone pays for it. When something happens the companies try every which way to get out of it.
It wasnt my tree, it wasnt hanging over my house or cars so do I have a right to tell her to have it cut down? What do you think she would of said.......F u c k off comes to mind.
J, I sold the van on ebay. I got another van that is suppose to get painted but am guessing the lazy ass aint do it yet....
