I cant really say "It could only happen to me" since most SQ guys have this as a goal, but i found it funny anyway.
A saturday i and a girl picked up a friend of mine for a little party.
During the trip the girl asked for Dire Straits "Money for Nothing" and wanted it loud. so i put on the song and cranked it up fairly loud.
When we arrived my friend asked, do you have your subs up front? When i told him that i had a 15" in a sealed box in the trunk he looked a bit confused, even if he heard lots of deep bass he wasent able to hear where it came from.
That feature was something i had paid a lot of attention to achive, but the funny part are that i had never realised that even in the backseat it was impossible to pinpoint the source of bass. So i guess i can state "Succes" on that part
Ps The 15" are x-overed at 50 hz 18db/oct, and 2 8,5" in the front doors does the midbassfrom 50hz and up , and no rattles from the rear gives the trunk away as the source of bass below 50hz
