Audiophyle,
If the amp wasn't installed and just sitting in your car auto-insuarance won't cover it but home insuarance will. Check your house insuarance policy (if u have one) u may be covered there...

I have heard of Homeowners covering items in a car if the car was on the property, although it's not a sure thing, it may be worth a try..

Well I can live with the $250 deductable or even if it was $500 when it is covering a $10,000+ stereo..

Ewwww..Andy you didnt tell me that one in the email. I hope that trend is not catching...cars rolling off trailers. Heck on the way to KC the truck that I was following that our group was towing almost lost it cause of...hmmm it was more then just a tad uneven pavment...It was where the paved one lane but still had to other one to do. It was dark and I guess the truck that was doing the towing didnt see the difference or something. But I swear that trailer swayed next to the truck.

SCARRY..

Hey everyone. I have looked at my policy. I am covered WHEREEVER the car sits. So I am covered by auto and renters.

you're lucky. they had some b.s. clause in my policy that said if the electronic gear wasn't originally made to be ran by 120v, then it wasn't covered..
