I just got back from Dallas (4/2/04) earlier this week where I won 1st in a dbdrag event held in Lewisville. I only hit a 142.1 in SMAX 3-4 because I had two subs that were hitting hard but the other two subs decided they did not want to play. Well on the way home, I was playing music on my subs that were not even pushing the amps, but 3 our of my 4 amps were burning hot. I started to smell something so I just ripped all of the fuses out of other and continued to town with no subs and just 2 pairs of crossfire sx46's, which sucks. SO i finally make it back into town with a 1st place prize and an appointment to get my set-up looked at. Monday (4/4/04) was finally here and I was already having a crappy day as is. So as I was approaching my truck, I noticed something in my front seat. Silly me thinking it was a gift from my g/f I just opened my door. Come to realize it was my passenger window shattered in the drivers seat. Looking around frantically, I see my Pioner DEH-P840MP cd player is missing and someone was trying to steal one of my Crossfire 1000D's. I see 2 cop cars on the other side of the lot so I decide to walk over there and see what they were doing. Well this 4 foot nothin mexican punk decided to go around the parking lot breaking sheet and stealing anything he could get his hands on. Luckily, someone reported seeing him and called the campus police and they caught the guy. Well, I identified my cd player from the others he has stolen that day but I had to goto the police station and let them process the evidence and so-forth Two hours later I finally get my cd player out of the police station and come to find out that is the third time this punk was arrested for stealing stuff on campus. That pissed me off to know they caught him and let him go twice before he broke into my truck and stole my stuff. Well I went home and cleaned up my truck from all of the broken glass and put my cd player in and started to listen to music. Come to find out that only a pair of my 2 pair crossfire sx46's work in my truck. So come today, my compeition system has withered down to a stolen/recovered cdplayer and one pair of 4x6's with no bass, no loudness, no pride.

Ouch bro, I definately know the feeling of a stolen head unit. Last night I was hit up but, your head unit was recovered, mine will never be seen again. Sucks but at least you got everything back. Minus the cost of a door window.
I think mine was from when i took my truck in for repair on a broken window, one of the workers wrote down the address and knew the trick of my rear window. I have a good feeling it was one of them guys but i have no proof.

I am sorry for your misfortune, but glad you got your h/u back. I have one question for you and the others that had stuff jacked that posted: Did you guys have alarms?

Yeah, I have the autopage 850. Two way, BUT, I was about 1 mile away inside a chemistry lab...plus the building is pretty heavy metaling and I can not even get a cell phone signal in there. Now in days, when people hear an alarm go off, they just look away. My truck was broken into monday, tuesday I went to dinner with my parents at a place, and an alarm went off in the parking lot...everyone could hear it.. I looked at it and then looked back at everyone and no one else was looking. No one cares anymore. It is really pointless to have an alarm anymore but to let me sleep better at night when it is armed and in my garage.
Everyday now when I goto my car, I scan the parking lot for anything out of the blue. Mark my words, If I ever catch someone stealing something in that parking lot...I 6'8" guy is going to kick their ass.

The reason I asked is because I am a Security Alarm Technician (both homes and cars). I did work for ADT (most everyone is familiar with them). Now I am self employed. I had a burglary attempt about 10 years ago and my alarm saved it all. As a alarm tech I really rigged it up. Check out my story post in the auto security forum under the subject "ALARM SUCCESS STORY AND OTHER THEFT PREVENTION TIPS" from a alarm installer. (MUST READ)!
