The problem here is that your infringing on other people's freedom, by forcing them to listen to 'your' music.
Show some common sense and keep the beats down in the residential areas. Invest in some sound dampening, and for crying out loud, please keep the windows up...

Based on your description I will taked your word that you were bumping in an a non-residential area. That being the case, I do NOT support noise violations. I hate hearing jerks bumping near my home. However, the authorities should not abuse the law.
I love your comparison to the truck that was driving by. There are so many gray areas in sound ordinence laws.

funny thing the night before thanks giving i had a city cop pull me over and he asked me did i have a problem with keeping my stereo down i said what stereo and he said the one on my back seat i told him i would like to know how he heard me 10 car lengths back and felt me 7 car lengths because when i hit my toggle switchs for the amps they never came on, the other cop that was with him he would have had to testify to the fact that they never came on, can you say harrasment lawsuit because of my stickers and because we was not in city area and he thought he was going to ticket me i said not in the county area you aren't and he said watch me i said go ahead and see how long you have a job, he handed me a warning and said that he will be watching me from now on
my sticker is one of a little boy pissing on the initials for the city cops go figure why it is there
ok the price for a noise violation around here is 150 bucks the first time then it goes to 300 for the second and the 3rd time is they take your vehicle and you get it back minus the stereo equipment

In fact the one site entirely dismisses rap and techno as a form of music, this is a nice window to view the people that have too much time on their hands.....
