gggrrrr i spent a whole woodshop class making a bandpass box for a 15" L7 from a SOLID walnut tree that i cut and we tuned into boards in the shop over the summer.
test day
1. blew plexiglass into peices and cut a friend of mine ha ha ha
2. cracked a seem in the back took sub out, made supports, and completly re-siliconed the joints
3. cracked front in 2 places got pissed and nailed a big peice of oak over the whole front and glued it on.
4. blew amps switched vehicles and blew another got pissed and slammed l7 on the ground. got 1 sctatch and works to this day with very dependable KX500.2 and goofy ass board on the front

And this is why I only biuld ported or sealed boxes with 3/4" MDF or thicker.

...and you expected a box that you built in a class that lasted no more then an hour to work properly? maybe you should've spent the time building a shoe shine box or Cigar box.
