I was dating this guy for three years and twords the end things got rreally bad. He borke out my winsheld and threw me on the ground. Needless to say I presses domestic violence charges against him and broke up with him. Its been about 5 months and this guy is still trying to call my house. I thought about putting a restraning order against him, but thought that might only piss him off and since he is following me that I know of I don't want more trouble. How can I get him to stop calling? He has made threats that if he ever saw me with anyone else he doesn't know what he would do. Any advice would be helpful. Keep in mind this guy is really violent he is in and out of jail all the time.

You need to get as far away from this guy as you can. Tape his phone calls, keep copies of the police report from the domestic violence thing and any time he comes around you call the police immediately. Some states have 3 strikes rule or something like that. Unfortunately I'm sure the cops around your town have seen this stuff before and know how to handle it.
DO SOMETHING NOW!!!!! Do not become a statistic.
If you can move; do it, if you live with your parents; tell them the whole story and get them involved too. Change your phone number too.
P.S. It seems like you are having some guy problems you have the first 2 posts on this page.

Yeah hard times it sucks. My dad knows the whole situation and he said to wait on the restraning order untill something happens so I don't piss him off as far as the phone he said maybe getting caller ID, but who knows the possible phone numbers he could call from. The othe post was back in July and is resolved now.

If you wait until something happens you could already be black and blue or dead. Change your phone number, have the new one unlisted, and tell your mutual friends (between you and the ex) not to give out your phone number even if it's an "emergency". Get caller-id too and let your machine pick up if you don't know the number.

Someone said it best-"Do what you have to, if it means your safety" Alot more courts are putting the screws to people violating restraining orders,and I think you need one bad.
Caller Id is your best friend in court. Tough guys who go to Jail for Beating their ladies aren't the most popular people in the Joint. Lots of Guys see that as, That could be my Sister/Mom.
As a Father of an 18 yr old Daughter I can tell you that this not only effects you, but your Family also. Good Luck.
