Well i was at my friends house drinking on the front porch and 4 of my friends decided to go get somemore drink, so they leave and then about a minute later he comes flying down the street tries to pull in the drive way and hits my 84 chevy caprice classic which only had 45000 miles on it what makes it worse it use to be my grandmas car (so it means alot to me), i just put in 4 12 L5 in a costum box that cost me 300 and my punch power 1000bd, with the rearview mirror tv. My chevy was just parked on the street parked next to a tree so when he hit me from the driver side rear it hit the tree that was on the passanger side and Total My dam car, so now i am stuck with this stereo system that i only played 2 times, and i am not about to put in my 98 dodge intrepid, but then after he hits my sh*t he comes upto me and says my fault then took of running then 30secs later the cops came down the street and seen my chevy and then see his blazer in the drive way and calls back up and told me that he was running from him because he was doing donuts in his blazer, so my car is F*cked up because he wants to drink and act dum

That sucks to hear, but if your friend isn't in jail then what i would do is take him out back and shoot him in the head! (j/k)

This really sucks. Some people. You think that they are your friends, but when something like this happens you find they might not be. I would sit down and have a talk with him and try to work something out. If this doesnt work then you might have to take a more drastic step. really sorry to hear this happened to you.

sue him. tell him how much he owes you, and agree on a time well within the suit deadline (how long you have to take legal action against him), try to get it in writing or video, etc (but make sure he knws about the documentation), and if he doesn't pay up, sue him.

try to get some free legal advice from some lawyer, often certain law firms offer this option. talk about your options with a layer first, always. Get some advice, then you decide what to do.

Get new friends.

Sorry to be straight up here, but there's no need for having friends that are irresponsible. Kind of an oxymoron there; irresponsible friends.

i am assuming he has insurance right? if so then get ahold of them. it is his fault. his insurance company will pay for any and all damages.

this sounds so much like a tv show but it really works. Wear a microcassette recorder in your pocket and start talking to him about it. Make him admit that he was at fault and did it. Then whamo, you got it on tape.Double check with your state law on doing this though. In texas only one person has to be notified about it, and that would be the person wearing the recorder [Big Grin] Some states like New York require that all parties present know about it.It does work, just know your rights before you do it.
