hey this weekend i was riding on streets... A friend of mine pass to my side in his montero sport. His system is 1 12L5 in about 4 cu ft ported slot box, alpine 300watt amp, 2 6x9īs pioneer. My system is a blaupunkt pa2150 (480x1rms), 2 sony XS-L1236 each in its own 2.2cu ft ported box, 4 6.5" mids and 2 pairs of jensen/pioneer tweeters.
I stopped to his side and wave him.He smile sarcastically like showing me his system. I was inside my car. He has all 4 windows down and start playing: "ainīt nuthing but a g than" by dre and snoop... I didnīt feel impress at all. I told him: shut your system(with good manners), repeated once again. He put pause.
I just smile, and change from holla holla by ja rule, and put shake that ass by 2 live crew... wait about 5 sec from intro, and then the bass started to shake his whole car. He got surprised and just look to other side, and run away. Nice night... hahaha

Aint nothin but a g thang has a weak bassline compared to most of ja rule beats... he shoulda known better... anyways, you have more power, more cone area, and more box space... are we supposed to be impressed that you beat someone with less than you? Kidding, but for real, why're you braggin on beating someone when you have somewhat of a better system than him? Of course you're gonna win, plus the fact that it was on music... comeon man...

answer to you: i wasnīt playing ja rule. I played shake that ass.
anyways, you have more power, supposed to be impressed that you beat someone with less than you? ANSWER 2: i have just less than 180rms running to each sub, and iīm happy because he spent more than $1000 on his sytem, and i just spent about $700 and he canīt get louder than me.
So please read the things slowly, i see you donīt have a fast mind

I find it funny that people think that just because subs and amps made by say, profile, sony, pioneer, bazooka, and the list goes on.
That they can't get loud and drown out others made by say DD,kicker,RF,Ed.Re and the list goes on.
Remember its in the install not the product used.I have seen jensen wal mart subs get loud, say 160's to tell the truth. So the install and well he had power, but also power isnt everything as well.
Good job on takeing your friend out and keep getting louder.

You can't tell which car is louder by listening from the outside of the car. You sure as hell can't tell by listening to it from the inside of different car.
The only real way to tell is by putting a meter in there and metering them both.
An spl Vehicle is supposed to keep sound on the inside of the car so that it hits harder on a meter. The more sound that you hear on the outside = less sound contained in the cabin.
I too have heard 1 very loud jenson sub based system. 4 jenson 10s sealed in a standard cab silverado and a lanzar 1000watt amp pushing them. It got really loud, but since I didn't have meter handy on me (and I don't know anybody that just carries one around with them) I couldn't tell you what he was hitting. It sounded comparable to other systems I have heard hitting 140s but it doesn't matter cause what sounds loud to the ear doesn't really have anything to do with what is actually loud on a meter.
Having a car that can be heard from a mile away is great for show but its really not practical for competition. The Ideal competition vehicle has soooo much sound deadener in it you can't hear hardly anything at all from the outside, and thats actually the goal if you wanna put up big ###s.
As far as a sony system beating out a system with a 12" solo... Its not hard to believe and congradulations.
Alot of what a system can do is dependant on the vehicle its self, the quality of the install, how good your electrical system puts out power, how well your box is designed, etc etc. When It really comes down too it the quality of the equipment isn't AS important as the other things that determine how well the system hits.
Good equipment does make a difference and the amount of clean power can make a hell of alot of difference, but if the rest of the install isn't there the good equipment is useless.
There are too many variables to be able to tell ANYBODY which system is louder, thats why everybody gets pissy when people come on the forum, go to the "general audio section" and ask... "What am I hitting?", or "what will this hit?" People almost Always say... Go get metered and you will know its that easy.

Hey... Nothin But a G Thang has a weak bassline, hands down, end of story. Who cares what it was that you were playing, be it Ja Rule or 2 Live Crew - either have a stronger, deeper bassline. If he woulda picked somethin special to bump with like you did, the story could be very different. Even 180x2 is more than 300, plus you told us 480x1 or something, so either way you have more power. Did I say more power per sub? No. I said more power... how about YOU reread. Nice and convenient of you to avoid the whole cone area comment.... How in the world did he spend a grand on his system... and how in the world did you WASTE 700 on yours? I didnt say it was impossible that you beat him, but regardless you're bragging about beating someone with less than you... less power, less cone area, plus the track he was listening to. Not a fast mind? How about a tested 127 IQ in 8th grade, I'm 21 now at Mizzou, and a 31 on the ACT my junior year? I think that's plenty fast, kid...

Or better yet, put both on meters. I'm kinda skeptical on a Sony Explode system shaking a car next to it..
Oh it can you just have to have a good install My boy Angel has 2 explode 12" ($115.00 for the pair) and he has spanked everyone he has went up against in Mini street 1-2 this year, but that's what happens when I do the insatll
for some odd reason it only says he did 2 shows but he did 5 he is so loud his music makes the CD cases in the seat of my car jump up and down about 1/8" when he is parked next to me

sounds like what my single 12" brahma does, except it cannot shake the car next to me, in fact, I can blast it with my windoes down in my explorer, and a cop next to me would not notice...
inside my car, my cell phone in my cup holder has a 3" jump record, lol, it's hilarious when you're watching from the rear, then all of a sudden, the cell phone jumps up into view, then falls on the floor.

A quick note ahead of time: I'm not trying to diss at all.
I'm not real familiar with IQ #s. I thought 127 was fair, but I thought that someone with a 31 ACT would've score higher. Again, I'm not familiar with IQ testing. I just figured that would be more around a 150 or better. BTW, congrats on that ACT score.
I had to take an IQ test once as part of the application process for the Oklahoma School of Science and Math but they didn't tell us what we scored. They just used the scores for their records. I did score a 27 on the ACT in the 7th grade though. 32 on the math part Got the math up to 36 and the overall to 33 and did 15?? on the SAT. Forgot if it was 1500, 1510, or 1550. I thing 1510. This was all by junior year of high school. Was about to start OU in Mechanical Engineering on a full ride until I wrecked on my way home from orientation Hopefully I can start this spring.

I just didnt really like someone takin a shot about something they truly knew nothing about...
30, my fault... heres from the sheet: 30 english 26 math 34 reading 31 science 30 composite
the IQ was tested in 7th or 8th and got me into the gifted program (where all the smart kids go and waste one day a week in gradeschool, then in junior high there is a separate room for it and you just do brain puzzles and advanced projects and stuff whenever you wanna get out of class)... the number may be wrong, but for some reason I think that's what it was. I didnt get a full ride, but seein that I'm in the 97th percentile, I figured ol boy was below me brains-wise and should just shut it about a "slow mind" or some nonsense. Who knows, though, he could be 98th... oh well.
