ok here goes... i was driving up a slight hill doing 35 when i get a cell phone call "yo its james where did u guys go?" me-"I went to see my friend roman hes havin a party ttyl" "aight"

then i hang up the phone and i tell my friend that the house is close by so i put my blinker on and slowly turn while hittin the gas in 4th gear... but as i hit the gas i notice the cars speed never dropped or went faster the rpms suddenly shoot up and i feel the car sliding right... so i think quick and pump my brakes and turn hard right as my ass end goes out. well the car grips and swings me into a blazing 180 smacking a telephone pole then hittin a brand new subaru forrester.

i get out of the car dizzy and confused im looking down and see my door is fine and whole side of the car.... im like holy **** "i only hit the curb!"

then i look backwards and rear window is blown out and my sub box blew it out and the amps were smashed... subs rained on HU blown to bits. nothin insured exept for liability on my car which doesnt help.

my front and hood was smashed up and when they towed my car away the entire back end from the tail lights down just fell off the car. I HIT HARD! ive been in 4 accidents with my brothers cars (him driving) but this one HURT!

needless to say im fuh qed !!!!

no subs, no amps, no HU, NO CAR!, ima commuter student 45 minute drive!, and my parents are really pissed! also i lost my job too!

jesus christ... imma just bend over and let the a$$ rapping begin!

o well things arent as bad as i thought....

im trying to get another job again tonight and i found out i have collision so if my frame didnt bend in the back and its under 7000$ then i get the car fixed for a mere $500 bux!

so ill need to take the train tuesday and friday of this week and next week will be a lil worse but no big deal. and more time for HW.

but now im not allowed to have a stereo system in my car until i move out. because the box simply caused the car accident in the first place plus the box was so big that it destroyed the window and whole back of the car.

and it was pouring out so my subs/box/and amps are destroyed! there goes $3500 down the drain!

holy crap dude...i didn't know all that happened when i was talkin to ya earlier [Frown] that REALLY sux!

seems like it's a bad time of year for everyone (you're just carrying over tho)...friend of mine's house burned down a couple days ago (hot water heater exploded, gas). this coming 4 weeks after one of his good friends and bandmate hung himself...my sis' car got stole, recovered, but with chicken guts and blood all over in it...and some other stuff.

hope you get back up and running soon! btw, how was the sub box the cause of this accident? it didn't cause the spin did it? usually more weight on a rear-wheel drive means less spinning of the tires...and yuo'd have to turn hard to shift that weight enough to make it slide...

Technically NO! Well yes and no. More weight would help traction. But more weight in the rear will have inverse affects on inertia. Since the back end is heavier, it's a little harder to get it to change directions. Ever spun a string around with some weight on the end? Sort of the same affect. I never was good in most of this stuff (never listened in school), but I'm just trying to give a general idea.

Anyways, sucks to hear about your misfortune. At least you'll be getting the back! And who knows, the equiupment may still be good. Try and salvage what you can! Good Luck!

yeah, i know that...but he said he wasn't accelerating hard or turning sharp, no real reason for it to do that unless the roads were really slick (never mentioned that).

Icewall...next time make the box BIGGER and HEAVIER [Wink] give that backend more weight to keep it from sliding hehehehe (just tryin to make ya laugh)

dude his parents wont let him get a system until he moves out.

Also an integra is front wheel drive, so if more weight was in the back, the the front would have less traction, meaning harder to drive, correct?

yeah...my car is front wheel drive. Haven't had too much of a traction problem honestly...but it's the CV joints that really don't like alot of weight in the back, makes them go out pretty fast (i've gona thru 2 on the driver side and 3 on the passenger side since i bought my car 5 years ago...had a wall in it for two years now).
