Well it has finally happened to my accord, my grandpops wakes me up this morning saying someone broke into your car, I am thinking its a joke but this is the third time I hear this and I run outside in 40 degree weather in my boxers to see my trunk open and my DEI 1100d gone my shocker extreme 12'' gone and my new alpine 7894 that I havent even had for a week GONE!!!!! damn I don't even know what to do, this happened no more than 10 mins ago , and I really dont have much of an idea who did this, they broke my locked trunk popper to get in my trunk, all my work and whatnot to get this system and it is gone, i am embarrased, I dont even know what I can tell people now, I dont want to show my face anywhere, I am known for my stereo system, and my dope alpine and now its all gone gone. Luckily my cd case was still there, my window is broke my door is all screwed to hell, I kinda think I know who did this though, so I think getting my stuff back wont be too hard.

Several months ago my truck was broken into. Luckily I had insurance on the stereo also. These guys had some time and was more then 1 person. When my truck was broken into they got: a 2000 Model Eclipse CD Player, a set of Cerwin Vega 6.5" Components, an Eclipse mid range amp, 2 Eclipse 88120 12" subs WITH the box, and a Kicker ZR1000. They even took the factory rear speakers.
these guys knew what they were doing because nothing was damaged. They left the CD Case alone and about $90 in cash in my center console alone also, kinda weird.
I never did get any of it back nor did I ever find out. Well, after 7 months I'm back and stronger then ever. Now I've got 4 12's 1400 watts and a box that will require 3 guys and 2 seats to come out before the box will.
Anyway, sorry to hear it man, hope you find the punks and hope your car will get fixed.
If i get jacked again, they might as well take the whole vehical, I'd like to get a hatch back car because it would do better for competitions.

The only people that know I'm into car audio is my family and very close friends. I have came to the point that I don't really play my system around town or even very loud now. Only time I ever get loud or play my stereo loud is at a MECA event where all you do is run once in the lanes and the rest of the time I will either demo it for the local kids or just enjoy it for a little bit. Once I leave the show the bass is turned almost off and the volume stays bewtween 22-25 out of a possible 33 (40 is the highest level on my Panasonic. I'm playin it smart now so I dont get jacked again.
And yes, numba 1 mistake, being known for your stereo. It was only time that you were gonna get hit. It's unfortunate and it sucks but dude, take this as a learning experience and umm, try to lose that part of you that is known for car audio.

How do you get insurance on your stereo? and does that mean you got paid for everything stolen? and how much is it to get it insured?
