Well i did not want to clog up the other forums with my ranting but i need to type this all out... BEFORE: i had two 12inch Shocker Extremes powered by one a7 in the trunk of a 89 CAvalier z24..rear firing ported...it got loud but i thought, jeez with a new vehicle i can be louder... NOW: i finally got the car i wanted for a long time, 95 ford probe...i was thinking, boy that hatchwill sound sweet! so i put the old box in, rear firing...does not get very loud at all....build a new box firing up with subs and ports..2 inches deeper than last box so a lil bigger...setup has subs all the way back in trunk and ports about midway forward...this sounds ok but is really picky and does not seem to get as loud as the trunk...tommorow i am going to try spinnning the box around and see what happens but this is really ticking me off, i am thinking more and more about getting rid of the shockers and going with my sealed 12w3s...even though i know this would be a major step down but it sounds better... ahhh i hate this crap AC

Wow, sounds exactly like me. I had an old 91 Cavalier then I just got rid of it and got a 97 Probe. I have 2 10" cerwin vega hed subs in one of those qlogic box's and I sorta know what you mean about the subs not being as loud, In the Cavalier I had my bandpass box facing forwards but when I got the probe I face it backwards now, it's still not as loud as the cavalier and I even nearly doubled the wattage between the two cars. Maybe it's something to do with how big the trunk in the Probe is.

Gotta remember that the rear seat distorts the wave, making it feel like it's hitting harder. I'm sure they meter the same. I'd face them forward, like bkman suggested.

I'll turn mine around today and see how it does

i got a 89 ford probe, and a 90 ford probe im installing my **** in now. anyways, a 15L7 and a 6 cube box and 1100w later. i never got metered, but god damn, not many people can compare system wise to me around here. it was loud firing towards the back of the car, sub and port facing the tail lights, and it was only maybe 8 inchs away from the trunk. then i put the seats down, and move the box back, and then **** gets funky chunky loud.

Well I turned my box around and it does seem a bit louder, try facing it to the front.
