i have been told all my life that when you cheat, you cheat yourself. i have been competing for five years, i see people bending rules, sometimes down right breaking them. they get away with it. with everything from writing down incorrect spl scores, to high points for crappy installs. i have seen cars in the wrong class by accident AND on purpose. i have even seen judges that have been caught "bending" rules in one organization, judging big shows in the next. i have seen people become certified judges, but they either don't know the rules, or they cheat thinking they will get away with it. whats the deal? people get sponsored every year and go into novice and consumer classes. if they don't cheat to get ahead, they simply lie about you and then you are looked upon as being the bad guy. so when does it stop? when does the cheating and the dirty tactics catch up with the people that do it? does it pay that good to be a liar and a cheat?
i have become members of some good teams in the last few years. all of which have rules against the sort of things i get accused of. i am really beginning to wonder; is it really all worth it?

Continue with the honesty man..there are very few of yall left..lol and that means we get farther ahead..lol..I AM JUST KIDDING!!! We should all try and remain as honest as possible. These people you are describing will be caught sooner or later. If you see someone cheating you should tell someone about it or confront the person with as much tact as possible so that incase you are wrong you will not feel so dum..but if you are right that person will know that he or she has been caught and will think twice about ever doing it again...that is just what I would do. I know that different people have different personalities so everyone will approach this differently, but this is what I would do. Just let these scumbags know that yes they are being watched and we wont tolerate it in our sport. Ok now I will calm down and smile and say have a nice day..and as always SEE YA!!!

Ya it is too bad that people think they have to cheat to get ahead in the game I personally hate cheaters honesty is the only way to get ahead. it sometimes takes the honest to keep others honest

The way I see it, they may walk away with a trophy and whatever but sinse they cheated they did not win. It's all fantacy. Like said before stay honest and be sure the let the proper people know about it when it happens.

Speaking from some comps that Craig and I have been to.. I have seen the Judge at the 3X comp be really fair. I mean you have someone that has MDF on the roof of his cab and a few minor things he looks at his veh and then puts him in extream class. Which is what he was to be in.
I also have seen at a 1X show where they were more not by the book. It was a very fun show. They let you open the doors and stuff.. but most of the people were game for what they were doing. IF not someone didnt speak up.
Anytime that there is a show if there is anything or anyone in a wrong class... the people in that class complain to the person .. the judge will look at the veh to make sure its in the right class.
Take this from the shows i have been at.
Altho some shows did get pushed to 2 day shows when they said it was a 1 day show. Which was misleading in some sort. But other then that I have see alot of people in diffrent classes and things going on and when someone says hey " that is not right" they have them ether in the right class or what have you.
Not sure whos shows you are talkin about but sofar the shows i go to seam more like a family then a comp. Even tho one of our friends is in craigs class makes it even more interesting...

there is a family atmoshere at the shows here. you have the idiot little cousins, the drunk uncle's you never want to talk about. then there is the aunts and uncle's that have to go and start gossiping and starting crap with "dad" and the next thing i know somebody is busted for cheating and they walk away blaming the wrong people (me)
if i did half the things i have been blamed for over the last few months, i would either be dead, or have one hell of a smile on my face.

Cheating somewhat caught up with someone today.. this guy was competing with his box past the door jamb.. last show he beat me by 0.4 db's which knocked me into 4th.. lots of people complained but they didnt do anything about it (I didn't complain because I didnt want to look like a sourpuss ) There was a local show today.. classes were 1 sub, 2-3 sub and 4 subs+ and walls.. so no walls were alloud in the 1 sub or 2-3 classes.. it was a small show so to keep it fair they did that.. he changed his setup and clearly had a wall.. then the judges told him that he whined and threw a hissy fit.. and they let him compete in the 1 sub class anyways.. I beat him by 3.2 db's.. thats coming from a trunk setup, with the same power and a smaller sub He wasnt impressed.. I thought it was funny
If you wondering how i went up that much to beat him I was experimenting with boxes before and I dropped the loudest one back in

why can't people like that just see, they are only causing hurt, to themselves and everyone they encounter, but mostly themselves. everybody gets found out sooner or later in one way or another. then they get hurt, but think of all the honest people they hurt along the way? life is just so unfair sometimes.....

It's people like that, that sometimes make me wonder why I try with anything, you try so hard at something, put everything into it, and someone comes along and cheats there way into it, and when they are confronted they act like little kids.. it's sad what society has come to

whats messed up is when they get caught, they immediately blame someone they have a problem with. i used to work at a shop with some of these people. when i notified them i was leaving they offered me more money and benifits to stay. after i waited for a replacement before leaving, they started telling people how i was fixing to go anyway because i was so bad at doing my job. then i saw the damage the new guy did to some panels while up there one day. i don't get it. i try to be civil and respectful, and all i get is lied about. its almost not worth being the nice guy

I TOOK THE RIDE OUT TO TEXAS HEATWAVE. IT TOOK ALMOST THREE HOURS TO GET THERE SO I HAD PLENTY OF TIME TO THINK THINGS OUT. CHEATERS NEVER WIN, THEY SIMPLY GET THIER WAY FOR A WHILE. I HAVE OFTEN CONTEMPLATED WHY PEOPLE CHEAT, AND EVEN WONDERED JUST HOWMANY WERE DOING IT. AFTER THE LAST FEW MONTHS, I HAVE FIGURED OUT JUST HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE. THE FINDINGS ARE INCREDIBLE. I ALSO NOTICED WHO THEY ARE AROUND. WE WERE FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO BECOME MEMBERS TO TWO OF THE BEST COMPETITION TEAMS IN THE WORLD. AND AFTER EVEN MORE THOUGHT, I DECIDED THAT CHEATING DOES PAY OFF. IT PAID OFF FOR US. ALL OF THOSE CHEATERS ARE UNABLE TO BE APART OF THE TEAMS WE ARE ON. I CONCIDER THAT TO BE THE HUGE STEP UP, THAT SEPARATES US FROM THEM. TOO BAD FOR THEM.
