I would have to agree with the fact that responsible use is ok. But its irresponsible use that gets things a bad rap. Just like these guys who run around blasting their stereos at 1 am in a residential neighborhood give all of us audio guys a bad rap. The reason the Navy has a zero tolerance approach to drug use is because of irresponsible use which caused several peoples death and millions of dollars in damage. I.E. planes crashing on the flight deck of a carrier.

I can't believe you blew. Thats dumber than drinking and driving. I'm not a proprietor of drinking and driving but I know to ask for my lawyer when they ask to blow. Atleast they'll take you away and you'll sober up some while they wake your lawyer at 3 in the morning. On the otherhand it only takes one accident to really sober you up to the idea of drinking and driving. It sucks that it usually comes to that with most people. It sucks worse when someone has to get seriously hurt or dead to get someone to open their eyes.

Its sad to see that so many people are close minded about certain things. Drinking and driving when DRUNK is wrong. If you are in control of your self, and you havnt had that much to drink then your alright. On the other hand, the Pot discussion. All the websites youll ever read that are controled by the government will tell you marijuana causes loss of motor skills, and about the munchies and red eyes, and sleepiness. This is mainly all true for people that smoke on rare occasions or are just starting. Personaly i smoke every day. All day long, mabye 10 times a day, mabye more depending on whuts going on (partys or other crap). Any person that smokes everyday or every other day, is not affected like these people say they do. You gain a tolerence for one, for two you get used to the feelings and its just like everyday reality. Drinking is the cause of more deaths in the world then anything else. It also induces anger and rage. Whut do you hear more in the news? A pot head beating his wife and kids? Or An alcoholic beating his wife and kids. Hmmmm, im not saying anyone that drinks is abusive, im saying pot makes you more passive then anything else. I also am a responsable adult, working 40 hours a week if not more, taking care of a beautiful daughter and having a healthy social life.
Another good site to check out, is on the book 'The Emperor Wears No Clothes' By Jack Herer, enter the title into a search engine and get it out. I actualy have a copy of this book that was signed by a wyoming senitor with a quote saying 'Remeber only the truth will set you free'. He then told me he had a copy of this book at home on his coffee table. More and more people are starting to become open minded and telling people they do smoke marijuana and they could care less whut other people think about it. Then again, anyone thats never smoked, cant say NOTHING about it. Because they have nothing to base there opinion on.

I know this is off the topic of the pot debate... but i have had good luck telling cops that they cant search my car. When i was in soph year of highschool we were driving to a party in the suburbs by my house when we got rolled by a cop for having one headlight out. (d*ckhead cop) He came up to the car and harassed us a while before asking us if we minded if he seached the car. We had an ounce of pot, 2 cases of beer and an ounce of shrooms in the trunk. We quickly told the officer we would mind if he searched the car. He then asked why ... The quick comment that, "my uncle is a lawyer and he told me you shouldnt be in the car unless we were doing something wrong" came out without hesitation. He actually smiled and said, well then have a nice day and left. As he was leaving a second squad pulled up... i guess thought was on to something. Thank god he didnt see the pipe in the map holder on the drivers side door right under his f**king nose!! We woulda got screwed over hardcore...

Driving under the influence of any substance is downright wrong...PERIOD! As far as not driving and using pot, well that is a differant story. I (unfortunately) work for a substance abuse rehab located in Jax, FL., about 75% of the clients are pot users, which tells me that there is a problem with pot, no matter what your beliefs are about it. I will admit, I have used just about everything, except for the needle (scary). My main choice was pot and I did over %100.00 a day. I was smoking like it was a regular cigarette. After 4 years of this, your motor skills, thinking skills, nervous system, and a lot more is affected very bad. I have been clean now for 13 years, quit on my own after realizing my life is going nowhere. I am just now really starting to notice that I am getting my body functioning like it should. I still have problems though (thinking process). So, that's my .02, if you don't like it and you do drugs, I'll be seeing you one year wither in rehab or 6ft under.

Ok so a Job is serious but Life is not?? Some people need to get there priorities strait. Why spend money on something that only lasts for a few hours, when you can get a system that Can do the same thing, Takes money, Kills Brain cells, takes time, and gets you in trouble - But ONLY you. For the people who are saying “it should be fine", "why not it’s fine with control”, and "being drunk is worse". I hope some one you know, love, or one of your children get in an accident by a person who is high. Then it won’t be so cool. I had one of my best friends die from Drunk Driving and then 2 months later his Girl friend who was high not thinking right went head on to a Gravel Truck on 275 at 75 mph. You could not even tell what type of car it was. I would say sorry for being bold, but this is a subject that you have to be!

Not blowing is even dumber. Most states use an 'implied consent' offense when dealing with driving while impaired charges. In NC you will be revoked for 1 year for refusing to blow. If you do blow over the limit, you lose your license for ten days and are eligible for a work permit after that. Now, which was dumber?

since everybody else is puttin in there own 2 cents then i figured i would too.....
first, about cannibis killing brain cells. The testing that has shown that marijuana has killed brain cells was done on rhesus monkeys by giving them more marijuana smoke in 5 min. then most people smoke in there entire lives. imagine somebody putting a gas mask over your face for 5 min. and just pouring in smoke. Wouldnt you lose some brain cells from lack of oxygen???
second, most rehabs arent really a good place to judge people. Im pretty sure that MOST people are forced to go into rehab. Figure it like, a kid gets overheard talkin about weed at school and the school tests them. They could do every drug known to man once in a while, but only come up positive for weed.... Why? because marijuana is the substance that stays in your system for the longest time. Coke is out of your system in like 3 days, so are shrooms and E. Now who would admit to doin other drugs if you just got pinched for weed??? BTW, whats the percentage of people that stay clean ( or not get caught) after they have gone through your rehab.
third, people always do stupid **** driving. I know people that have slammed on the gas instead of the brake and ran into a wall 2 feet in front of them, gone the wrong way on the highway, and hit parked cars... and these people are drug-free, no joke.
ive used about every drug out there, except trip or needle drugs... I was a daily (at least) potsmoker for 3 years straight. I stopped august of last year and i definetly notice a difference. About 2 months ago i was in a small case of depression and i smoked a couple times this and last week and now today i woke up and I feel fine. I think ive gotten over my depression. Just because its illegal doesnt make it bad. My life 3 years ago was in a extreme mess, but since i was smoking i didnt care about the bad as much and i believe that it helped me through tough times. Im not sayin marijuana is for everyone, its not for me now i feel i dont need it as a part of my life now, because everybody reacts different on it.
but remeber Moderation is key.... can you open the door?

When I got my DWI, I thought I was gonna be slick and say that I wanted to speak to my lawyer, WRONG!!!! (IN and out of the holding-cell blood/alcohol like a warrior and I refuse to answer any ?'s without the advisory of my lawyer)not quite the dumbest thing I've ever done, but definitely in the top 10... If it's not taken when they ask you to, it's a refusal...Conclusive is right. I was wrong. Automatic suspension for 1 yr. My lawyer(finest-I've-ever-seen-but-a-total-C-word) says we can fight it but it will cost $400 so I figure its worth a try. Wrong again, she knew the whole time that even if we won, the Judge would suspend them anyways when I went to court for the DWI itself. C-word!!! $4000 later, license suspended for a yr. and 14 weekends with the Sheriff's work detail... To this day I still know that I was luckier than I deserved to be. BTW, the #1 dumbest thing I've done was drinking and driving in the first place, dont do that!

Oh, yeah, Techsys. You must be joking!!!! Do you work for the Gov. or something? I dont believe that you EVER smoked weed, you just told me enough to prove that. I make plenty of cash, and take care of me and mine. And if you think that there's a problem with my motor skills, you're wrong again. I'm a rookie when it comes to car stereo advice, so I do the right thing and don't give it, keep your .02...(and I'm not sorry for bein' blunted)Peace.... Since everyone is puttin in some work, I like to share my experiences...my buddies and I used to be straight up potheads in highschool, we get out of school and the first thing we think of is mary jane. Now I'm not talking about pipes or joints, we smoke blunts and bongs ONLY. For 2 years we smoked at least 2 blunts a day(no joke), did a bunch of other drugs other than crack and needle, and drove while on it. Luckily we never got pinched, and I was never the ones that drove, but I can say driving under multiple influences is scary. I recall once when we were on weed, liquid acid, some blow and 2 40 ounce high gravity each, I was too trashed to function, my driver was seeing triples and bright rings from the road lights, it was so bad he had to shut his eyes to "see", so pretty much we made it home by guessing where the road was and hope we don't hit anything. That was my "drug abuse" phase though, I only blaze and drink now. I also had a close call this summer, I was all wasted and went on the wrong side of a main road...good thing there was no cars at the time. I guess what I'm trying to say is that driving under the influence might be inevitable at times, it's a dumb thing to do but I'm sure most people had a taste of it. Know your limit and party on, get crunk and call that cab if you can't stand straight...or drive home and hope you don't wake up in cloud 9.
