About 12:40am this morning my cousin and I am riding down a main street in my Accord, all of my windows have 5% tint and I have yet to get a ticket for it.. Well I cross an intersection and the state police are sitting right there, they make a u-turn out of their lane and in the mean while my cousin ans I were smoking a blunt. I see the police behind me and I tell him to throw the blunt out, he does. We had about half a fifth of vodka in a watter bottle in between the seats along with some cranberry juice to drink it with. Well the police pull us over and i ask why they stopped me, they tell me because of tint. I am semi drunk, very high and the cop asks me "so who's got the marijauna?" I say we havent been smoking anything, he gets us out of the car and his partner searches my cousin. He searches me, unbeknownest to him I have some illegal substance in my pants, he doesnt find it, he doesnt find anything on my cousin so he goes through the car, he finds the vodka in the water bottle, he pours it out, then the cop asks me about my system, they opened the trunk and saw my capacitior and asked what it was and what it was for, I was cool with them so they asked me how drunk I was, I told them I had a shot of vodka and they told me to do this finger watching test, i kinda failed it so they had me blow, i blew like below the legal drunk level and even though i am only 18 they gave me my keys and let us go, I dunno if it was that i told them I was going to the navy and i couldnt get in any trouble or what, but that is the craziest thing that ever happened to me. Sorry bout the long post.

For drinking underage then driving, not to meantion smoking up while driving. Your lucky you didn't loose your licence or end up in jail. Why you would do such a thing in the first place is beyond me. [Roll Eyes]

Yea, i know that the whole thing wasn't too smart, but its usually how things go around here on a weekend, drink, smoke and go to a party, but i think i have learned my lessson on that one. Until i go to bootcamp no riding around smoking and whatnot for me, I got a party to go to @ western michigan next weekend lets hope some of my luck carries over to then.

yah dude, whats up with that, the cops ask you if they can search your car, and even if you say no, they still do anyway? why even ask? are they like pretending to be friendly so they can catch you off guard later?

You have no idea just how LUCKY you are, and apparantly, how STUPID you are too! Isn't it time to GROW UP and act like a responsible adult before you end up killing yourself or, more likely somebody else? Drinking and/or Smoking and Driving is NO JOKE. That Cop did you know favor, hopefully next time you will end up in the Slammer.

BTW; NO..I AM NOT SORRY for making this post!

I stand behind you Bob. How STUPID can you be to drive around drunk and smoked out when you got your neons on to boot. There is NOTHING wrong with partying but do that **** responsibly. I hope you wreck your **** and all your hard work is for nothing. Maybe that will teach you a lesson.

First of all you are in a pull me over car, second you decide to drink, then you decide to drive, there is a big problem here. I don't care what you say about how well you can drive f****d up but its never true. I hope you think about all the peoples lives you put in danger that night (including your own) and think about how many people you could have killed. What would you do without your best friend? You just need to think before you get in your car and do something stupid.

Yea, underage drinking usually always results in a M.I.P ticket, but as was stated earlier, I wasn't drunk past the threshold of being able to drive. I was under the legally established limit, so legally, if I was 21 I would have been let go anyway. Drinking a shot of vodka and driving isn't irresponsible, drinking a pint of vodka and driving is, thats what needs to be established, I am sure if the police felt that I was endangering anyones life they would have taken me off the road no problem. So what needs to be realized is that I wasn't wasted, just a little buzz, nothing to get your feathers ruffled about. Another thing is that I have been driving around in my car with the 5% windoes since september 11th, and I have had no problems so far and I have been pulled over before for speeding and whatnot. This was the first time I ever got a comment on my windows from the police. So really, the only thing I did stupid was ride aroun smoking, but I have been doing that since I was 15 and never had any problems with that either, I have been pulled over while smoking before and if we havent thrown or hid the weed already all the cops do is throw it away. It is pretty useless to arest me for the weed and whatnot, what will it accomplish? It won't make marijauna go away, it wont stop real crime, it just puts me in jail for a victimless crime and ruins my chance in the military, so as long as I was under the legal limit for drinking what would have been the purpose of arresting me?

not to sound like an ass, but i for one would PREFER someone to be smoking and driving than drinking and driving...cuz at least then they're prob just chillin drivin a normal speed unlike the drunks who think they're god and like to haul ass.

Either way tho, that wasn't too smart and i'll admit i've done my fair share of smoking and driving, rarely drinking and driving cuz i don't care for alcohol too much...haven't done much of either tho lately due to circumstances.

Jail is not a fun place to be and will make you think twice real hard about it next time...trust me [Wink]

i don't know about where you guys live but where I live (about 10min southwest of k.c.) it's illegal for a cop to ask if he can search your car. you might want to check on that

When are you headed out for the Navy? What "A" school are you going to. I'll tell you that in the Navy underage drinking is "frowned" upon, like reduction in rate, forfeiture of pay, restriction to base, oral admonition, and extra duty. I know because I've been in the Navy for about a year, and someone gets caught every week.

I am going to "A" school and basic in Chicago, at Great Lakes I am amazed to see this post brought back after so long, anyone else have a story as lucky as mine?? Oh and I wouldn't be as stupid as some to drink where I can be busted by an officer or anyone else in a position to tell on me so reduction in rate or any of those things wouldn't probably apply to me. You must be stationed with some real dummies or some people who aren't focused on doing their job. The drinking and partying will be reserved for liberty and when females are around.

Actually I went to A school where the smartest people in the navy go. The Naval Nuclear Power Training Command. I've seen it all from people who get busted on base to people who get busted in towns 2 hrs away. Sure people get away with it but way too many people dont, its just not a wise decision. I didnt even look to see how old this post, I havent been to this site in about 3 months or so.

just what the navy needs another druggy and drunk, just to let you know, you get caught doin drugs by somebody on the boat, and 500 lives depend on you not screwing up, they aren't running to the master at arms, they are going to figure out at what time you are going for a swim, hope your not in the middle of a large body of water with no land around... 411 sharks usually follow the boat because all the food left overs are thrown overboard...

JBONDOx, what is your problem may I ask? Who said anything about being drunk or high on the job? I will not be drunk or high on the boat, as this is a job and a job is to be taken seriously. Man, the fact that people who smoke marijauna and drink ocassionally can be responsible goes completley over your shallow head huh? So, next time when you go to post, please think that people can be responsible and leave that holier than thou attitude at your computer desk, I truly wish someone would say some dumb comment like that to me in my face, but then I would have to act irresponsible and hit you in the mouth. Oh well, to everyone else have a nice day.

Same here. Can a person who gets drunk more nights than not, not function while sober? Besides, I don't know about you guys but I think being drunk is a lot more incapacitating than being high. I'm all for responsible, adult use. you can check out NORML [National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws] For more info, and their definition of "responsible marijuana use" I think the government realizes that weed is not a dangerous drug, but since they cannot tax perfectly natural plants that grow straight out of the soil, and go through no processing whatsoever, they illegalize it. They make a hell of a lot of money off of bud being an illegal substance! AND since weed is an illegal substance, it is forced to thrive on the black market... THAT is what associates weed with crime and stuff... Now if we could reach a compromise... that would be sweet. Would you be willing to allow the government to control and sell heavilly taxed, yet far cheaper than what you pay now, marijuana?
