I tend to speed a bit myself. The only time I ever got a ticket was when I semply didn't realize I was speeding. I was going 69 on a flat straight 2 lane road with only one other car on the road. Only prob was the other car was a cop and the limit was 55. He wrote it for 65 so it wouldn't be reported to the insurance company. Still cost $100, but it didn't bother me too much since my insurance wouldn't ever have to know about it. There have been many times that I've sped quite a bit and got away with it, but I usually don't maintain high speeds (in a truck governed at 98 and now an suv governed at 108) for long unless I'm on a good road, such as an interstate. I did get pulled over once though going a little over 90 (and accellerating) in a 65. Got a verbal warning for wreckless driving. Once I was going about 90 on I-35 following a line of traffic at that speed. All of a sudden I see flashing lights top the hill behind me. I slow down and get in the right lane, preparing to pull over. He flew right around me and all the other cars I was following! Must have been a wreck ahead or something. My friend got pulled over Friday for 96 in a 70 on the Kansas Turnpike on our way to USAC world finals. Cop had LIDAR (laser). We were going over 100 when we saw the cop. Idiot didn't slam on the brakes like I would have. Could have at least tried to burn off a little speed before he has a chance to push the button, ya know? I think the fastest I've ever gone for a sustained period was when we were on our way home from a Wyoming road trip in my mom's Explorer. It took us 13 hours to get from Cheyenne, Wyoming to southern Oklahoma, including a food stop, several gas stops, and rush hour Denver traffic. In that 13 hours, we went 926 miles. It's not that fast until you consider the food, gas, and rush hour traffic delays. We got poor gas mileage that trip, but we were determined to get home that night. Had the pedal to the floor a good part of the time. We drove into the wind for a long time and in Colorado the Exploder's V6 just couldn't quite keep the speed in the triple digits, so it was wide open for a long time. On one particular stretch of road between Raton, NM and Amarillo, TX, we only managed about 180 miles on 18 gallons of gas. Split between three of us though, it wasn't bad enough to slow us down by much. I slowed down some when I hit OK and more by OKC cuz I figured it would really suck to make it that close to home and get a ticket. After driving around in Wyoming for a week it was hard to slow down. Only ever saw one cop in Wyoming except in town in Worland at night. I have since slowed down though after totaling my truck. I was NOT speeding when I wrecked. I am now driving one-handed though, so I don't feel safe driving at high speeds since I'm not as able to react with just one hand. I have already been pulled over in my new Envoy though cuz the cops around here like to know who it is they see driving through town often. They never even gave me a good reason for pulling me over. These crap stops by small town cops are the reason I have been pulled over at least 12 or 13 times in the past 2 years and my sister has been pulled over more than 20 times in the last 5 years. Most of those times I was doing absolutely nothing wrong, except for "suspicious driving," "failure to yield," (I came to a complete stop and it was the only car coming [cop] was PLENTY far back) and other crap like that. Most of these were at night when I was the only car that happened to be driving through town. I better stop before I write a complete autobiography.

Yeah well the ONE time that I actually sped I got a ticket. Going down the road, passing an Astro van and I accidentally went up to 55, you know when your passing you want make sure you get around. Well, I didnt drop back quick enough b/c a cheesy little motorcycle cop pulls out quick and tails me. He waited to turn on his lights so I took a left at the green ligh and went ahead and pulled off the road. I knew he was gonna get me. Well, it was 100 bucks for doing 53 in a 45, and I went to court, didnt get it dropped down at all. I HATE THAT COUNTY AND ITS COPS!!!!! They are all like that! Needless to say, I dont do more than 3-5 mph over now, no matter what is going on!

But that won't happen for a while cuz I would like to keep my license. Needless to say my driving record isn't very good. Oops!!
Maybe you should try showing a little more of the puppies next time you get pulled over . I guess if that doesn't work, you could try crying.
HEY! I am just curious in the quote is says "quoted by JF12200" who is that? just curious.
