Geez, some people never cease to amaze me! I went to a comp and i saw a guy in a Ford Tempo running thru the lanes, and what a kit he had.

The only thing i saw in his car was 2 small boxes, probably taken from a bookshelf radio system at home, strapped in the back seat.

Results 108 dB. Anyone can yell louder than this.

Wow! Damn i didnt took a picture of this for the hall of shame!

Anyone ever seen something this ridiculous?

A few summers ago I went to a comp. It had alot of competitors. The majority of them were hitting under 130db and 1 guy hit a whopping 98db.

I got something funny, how about a Jeep wrangler with 2-12" Eclipse Aluminums and a Kicker ZR600, Eclipse CD player and all with the proper wiring and a yellow top battery under the hood, hard top on the jeep as well AND only doing a 129! HAHAHA Its ok if i laugh, its one of my buddys, i love making fun of him. GO SMACK!!

I did a 102 at a show a couple of years ago when my sub amp fluse blew in the lane before I ever got a burp out. That was from my 6.5 door speakers high passed at 80 Hz.

Understandable since you had a equipement failure, bet you didn't planned getting to a comp using 6.5" woofers...

;-)))) funny result guys!

I did 143,2 dB in my room!!! ...just around 15 to 25dB higher then in their car!!

This SPL was hit with 4 10inch Max Pentivent(Can woofer) and a rotel RB-985MKII giving 200Wrms on each woofer...

I can also hit 134dB at 24Hz with my other TRUE subwoofer (12' dvc Max Caliber) 8 cu ft !!!

But.... I dont have a car!!!!!

Can we start a dBdrag Racing for home ???

Whats funny, is that my room is most likely 145+ at 50HZ: (havent gotten it metered yet) Four 15" OEM woofers on a Pyramid Home 1k amp.

Also about those Max Pentivent woofers: I talked to the owner of the company about sponsoring a car and he said he would consider it in the next year or so. Since the company is canadian maybe you could get in touch with them.

anyway..whatever.

I was at a show when a young guy came in with a regular cab pickup. He got out and was holding the doors shut and people were gathering around. He hit it and posted a 126.0 being the j.a. that I am sometimes I said, "Is it turned on?"

He didn't like that

How about this, first time at a db drag qualed at 137.8 and next round posted a 139.9. At the next day at another db drag, qualed at 139.7 and the next two rounds posted 142.1 and a 142.3. Cooked equalizer, subs, i think it hurt the amp, and blew the box apart. I was running 2 12" MTX 6000's, a old ass power logic 900 watt in a sealed box. Bought two new 12" vipers and built a new box. Tested at a local audio shop at 143.5 and hit a 139.1 at the contest. Not a very consitsent car.

How do people hit numbers that low with all that????? I hit well into the 130 dB range in mine with one 8" (120 watts max) at like 30 hz. What is up with that? I had wires everywhere, and the setup completely sucked, but I still had good bass until the sub maxed out. I mean everything was just sitting around, if I would have went around a curve too fast, my car would have shorted out and blew up.

Dear god! If I'd have know that earlier we'd have come back from USAC finals through Joplin and down to Tulsa instead of going to Wichita and down through OKC. That's just sick!
