A long long time ago I was using one of those crappy crimpers. The one with the crimper on the end and the stripper and cutter on the inside. Well I was istalling a Punch 75 HD, new fresh out of the box. I was crimping a few ends and all of a sudden there was a little tension, so I pushed harder and it smooshed the little blue connecter. As I looked down I say the data cable from my Headunit to Sony CDX-A20 cut in half!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I spend about an hour splicing all 10 wires back together. Did not work so good after that, took it back to the place I bought it and said it was not working right, of course not mentioning I cut the damn wire in two.
Well a few weeks later I got my changer back, with a new cable.
The guy at the shop was like "hey Sony said the data cable was cut in half" And I played dumb, " o really???""
Not super funny.
