I was at a Pawn Shop the other day, this girl comes in to sell some car audio gear, nothin' special you think? It seems someone stole her car & put a system IN....A carpeted box w/2 CV Stealth subs & Kenwood PS150 amp. We couldn't hear what it sounded like 'cause the thief took the faceplate from the CD head he installed with him!

Ok, What I dont understand is, Why would someone steal a car to install a system? My guess is, her Boy Friend or Brother took the car without telling her, installed the system, and was gonna make that her BirthDay gift or something like that. But then the way this world is, who knows what could happen.

If this in fact did happen, that poor girl is going to regret selling the stuff at a pawn shop. Pawn Shops take down ID information, etc., and when that stuff comes back stolen (you know it's not legit if someone stole the car and put it in) it comes down on HER. She'll be the one getting prosecuted for it. hehe

If her car was stolen, she probably has a police report of that, and the report when it was returned to her, (if she had half a brain...debatable) should say this stuff was in it.

Probably the thief intended to reVIN the car and keep it for himself.

If somebody was going to suprise here with a present, they sure used a sloppy install & old gear to do it with She said she didn't want the gear! Some gibberish about "trunk space". BTW always record the model number & serial number of your gear. If you get ripped off , & they take it to a Pawn Shop, with this info you can get it back. Just contact the Police Department Pawn Unit.

I had a bud get his blazer stolen and a year later when it was found it had a NEW motor, NEW paint, NEW seats, a system and a lift kit with NEW rims and tires. He was very happy except for the used condoms in the back seat.
