Was in the local car audio shop the other day checking out the new shipment. The guy that I buy from was showing me the new subs from OZ Audio. He said the company would give you a free 1" lowering kit for your car with the purchase of two of their new 12's or 15's. That is they guarantee that when put in your trunk their subs will drop at least 1". I can see it happening considering that a 12, only one, weighs 41 pounds.

A friend of mines shop has the same deal with the Memphis LVS subwoofer. Considering the magnet weighs 225 oz. Now thats heavy. Keep it loud and disturb the crowd.

That's probably only partially a joke. When i put my system in, between the subs, amps, and all the thick MDF, the rear of my Amigo was visibly lower(just a bit, but still...) but i've got an off-road suspension package on it now, so its good and level again.
