Well this happened to an installer/friend of mine who use to work at my father's store, which sells everything from boats, to furniture, to stereos, to appliances. He had been working for my dad for about 3 months, but we had all known him (and I partied with him every weekend) for awhile.
Well he had been doing good up until the day the RX-7 had come to the store!!! A local guy had decided to put a system in his older RX-7, nothing was thought of it. He drove the customer's car around the building to the back where the install bay was at. The install bay was in an area where we could open up two big doors to pull boats and campers in from the outside to display them. As he was putting the RX-7 into gear, it something happened (everyone has a different story here), and the accelerator stuck.....so here comes this RX-7 barrelling all the way through the install bay, and right slams those two big doors open. One of the doors knocked the cleaning lady about 10 ft. (she was fine) to the side, and the other door swung open and hit a $25,000 Charger bass boat, which rolled into a rack of Gray and Black Yamaha boat spray paint. Needless to say, there was paint everywhere, the cleaning lady probably has flashbacks every time she goes through a doorway, the boat was able to be buffed out, but the RX-7 never got that system installed in it . Luckily, my family saw him as another member, and realized it was an accident. This was the funniest thing I have ever seen.
The installer, still one of my best friends, now owns his own wireless communications business and has "hired" an installer to put in phones.......hehehehe wonder why?
