Hello all. I have a 1999 Chevy Suburban and just installed (DIY) a DEI Ready Remote remote entry/starter.
Install went just fine. It is a Ready Remote model 24927, and I used a DEI 1700g to bypass factory Passlock. I'm only using the remote start and remote entry. The unlock button works all doors only (no driver's door preference) and I'm not using any of the accessory outputs.
Everything works as it should except: After starting the vehicle (with the remote OR the key), several seconds later the interior (dome) lights come on and stay on.
I'm just not sure what it is that I wired incorrectly.....
I just got off the phone with Tech Support at DEI, and was told to simply disconnect the brown wire from my dome light circuit.
Still hasn't solved my problem. Now I'm a lil' stumped. Spent 20 minutes on hold to get that useless info....though DEI Tech Support seems pretty good.
Anyone have any ideas?
