yes, i warn you that you WILL need to hook up a 2nd ignition or else your tranny will slip and the ignition switch will burn out and cause you more problems down the road. To properly do a remote starter in that vehicle you will need:
Constant Power + Red
Ignition + Pink
Ignition 2 + Pink/White, White or Brown
Accessory + Orange
Starter + Yellow
Brake + White
Tach AC (on this vehicle it will be either white or purple or purple/white and i believe it is at the ecm on the pass side under the hood)
Ground -

Also you are planning on not using a key at all to drive the vehicle you should not hook up the brake wire or else every time you step on the brake it will shut off your remote starter. You may also want to try placing your antenna under the hood because if you place it in the foot well i doubt you will have more then 15 feet of range.

And that should be it

I've been running pushbutton for a while now. Mine is setup to kill accessory during start as well. 3 SPDT relays, a mini-buss bar, a 4x4x2" conduit box, pushbutton and ignition toggle.

Sounds complicated now. How much to have someone come down to Cincinnati and do it for me including all parts and labor?

1st...I want to be able to start it without a key on the column and be able to drive/move it in and out of the lanes.

2nd...I want to be able to start and kill it on the podium.

Let me know Steve and who ever else is interested. I will be ready to do this over the winter at some point. I just need to see what the cost to do it is and then I can figure out when and who. Thanks

If he is just needing to start it via the podium the 2nd ignition wire doesnt need to be powered up. Powering the 2nd ignition wire with a remote start allows the tranny to shift out of 2nd gear. Greg if you arent going to be driving the blazer fast enough for it to shift out of second then it isnt needed. Also I believe your blazer is a 1995? If so there is no passlock to bypass.

I only use reverse and 1st gear for moving up/down the trailer and crawling into the lanes. It's a 96'.

All the ones I've seen have Passlock of some kind. No chip in the key, it's a Hall's Effect Resistor that throws the resistance when the key is turned forward. Simple and cheap to bypass, all you need is a multimeter and the correct value resistor.

easy way to find out.... [Wink] Hotwire it, and if it won't start, there you go....GM was weird about what they went on. I've seen it on base model no power lock or window early 90s cavaliers.....
