Sup yaw. The battery recently died on my '97 Jetta and the alrm won't allow the car to start. The battery is now good, and the car can be started by popping the clutch. Any ideas of what would be wrong with the alarm. How can I disconnect the starter disable completely from this vehicle?

Take the starter kill relay out and reconnect your starter wire

try disconnecting power and reconnect it. on many of the older clifford systems they were very voltage sensitive and dead batteries cause weird effects.

Check all the fuses running to the alarm. Older cliffords should have three to four running right to the battery. A loose or blown fuse will mess with the starter kill or iginition kill.
