Everything started a couple of weeks ago. first the battery would die overnight. Installer thought that the BCM (body control module) wouldn't shut off (the interior lights would stay on for more than a couple of minutes). I had the dealer check out the module, everything was fine. I replaced the battery (just in case it was the battery). After new battery everything was fine, for a couple of days. Then the check engine light turned on. I checked all wires in engine bay (made sure nothing was broken), engine light turned off. Thought everything was fine until this morning, engine would not start with remote. Manually starting barely started the engine (rough start). After work this afternoon, the engine started but after some effort.
All problems started after alarm install.
Anyone have ideas? I will be leaving the vehicle at the stereo shop on thursday. I would like to be able to be informed on solutions. Thanks for any input....

they grounded the status input (ground while running) wire on the module, this keeps the ecm awake which kills batteries.

tell them you want it hooked up properly or get your money back.

also have them do a draw test on your vehicle. something is obviously drawing current, i'm still putting my money on the module being hooked up improperly.
