I had kind of this funny idea that I could have this mechanism that if somehow the car thief got by the alarm and whatnot that he would somehow trip a ten second delay on the stereo and then it could burp a 75hz tone or whatever at like 165 db WHIlE HE WAS IN THE CAR and just keep doing it until the thing was turned off or whatever and he wouldn't be able to drive it he would HAVE to get out.

Of course, he would also probably suffer hearing damage. Could I get sued/charged with assault for doing this in real life?

probably, i'm know it's illegal for us to boobytrap our cars, but i'm not sure about this.
somehow there's a way around the boobytrap thing by clearly marking that this will happen (like with the auto-taser), but then it makes it kinda easy to circumvent.

god damn thieve's cause ups so much trouble.
$500+ i could be spending on a sweet processor, but no, i gotta get an alarm.

If the thief's lawyer can prove your intent to injure, then yeah you may be sued.

friggin stupid laws, ass wipe's trying to gank my system, or even my whole car, i protect that car from his ass, and i get sues for trying to protect my investment the best way i can think of.
there has to be a legal way around it, such as visably posting that by unlawfully entering this vehicle, you may be subject to injury, and are such, doing so at your own risk. something like that.
does'nt give away what will happen, just that something may hapen.

Why not contact The Upper Canada Law Society, in Queen's Hall, and ask what you can do?
